Coyotes spotted & heard within Locust Curve neighborhood

Homeowners:

Please keep a watchful eye for coyotes as you spend time outside, especially if you have small pets and/or children playing in your yard or the parks.  There have been reports of coyote sightings and howling in the Niatross, Tar Heel and Locust Curve Drive areas.  The sightings have been (thus far) in the evenings, but the howling “communication” has been in the early morning hours (between 4 AM and 6 AM).  Given the typical “territory” of coyote families, their range can easily encompass the LCHA neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods.

For further information, please reference the material that was presented & discussed during the City of Delaware’s information sharing evening at the YMCA on 22 February 2012.  Here is the link to the City’s web page:  http://www.delawareohio.net/NewsDetail.aspx?ID=280

If you wish to discuss this further, our Annual Meeting will be April 17th at 6:30 PM (Delaware Christian Church on US-36).
